Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit, has designed a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bentley brand. Made from Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying "B" paperweight, a set of keys and a brochure that features never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

This is a great way to greet a new owner of a vehicle.

Aesthetics

As a design-centric company Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. This is evident in the precise placement of its quilting, the use of leather made from by-products of cattle and sustainable-managed forests, and the innovative patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you approach it and showcases its stunning sculptural design and power with carefully selected lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever designed. The rear tonneau on the Continental GT, for example it was the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly,  bentley key -operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automotive brand. The company continues to push the limits by utilizing the most advanced technology and manufacturing techniques, such as the introduction of the digital instrument cluster as well as an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof and a crafted docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be switched between opaque and transparent with the push of the button.

A century after its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership following years of wrangling with BMW and BMW - celebrated its centennial in 2019. Before pandemic planning took the center stage, the company had a number of special events and launches planned to mark this historic occasion.

Design

Bentley is known as a luxury car manufacturer that makes ostentatious and luxurious cars. However, even the keys make a statement. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver and has an enormous 'B' design which lets everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. It also has the years 1919 and 2019 to commemorate the company's centenary.

Bentley Mulliner reinvented and designed the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. The rear seats are designed to provide passengers with unparalleled comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxurious private aircraft. The customized heating and ventilation system as well as the air conditioning system was created to give each passenger the perfect climate control setting.

In addition to a set of exquisitely executed styling tweaks as well as a suite of stylishly executed styling revisions, the Mulsanne is powered by twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp and 479lbft of torque. This amazing power is coupled with a new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned smooth ride.

Bentley has introduced a special specification for cars manufactured after 2019 to commemorate its centenary. This is known as the Centenary Specification. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. A bespoke Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key features an open button on the trunk and a second button that can start the car. The key also has a switch for turning on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight spot. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your car.

The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes more than two days to make each one. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, sewed to seal, and polished to achieve a high-quality result.  bentley key  is sturdy and compact, and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design resembles the Volkswagen Phaeton's big car key, yet it feels more substantial and luxurious.

It also has Secure-A-Key which can help prevent theft of keys that are keyless. The device is inserted into the remote-control fob, and is disabled in the event that the key isn't utilized for a period of a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which will allow the key to be opened and start the vehicle.

Bentley's unique design reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as cutting-edge technology. More than 4,000 employees work at its Crewe headquarters, and are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley automobiles. These workers apply techniques passed down for generations and apply them to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry. This is British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own vehicle. The "mood station" allows guests to select images that inspire them. These could range from picturesque vistas to sporting events. Each time a selection is made, a pattern will emerge that reveals the models and colors of the customized Bentley.

The guests are given a key case made by hand that houses the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the way of the door opening with the owner's logo or name as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley says it takes roughly 500 man-hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace modern technology is the primary factor to this time-consuming task. The Crewe factory workers don't utilize a machine for arranging perfectly-matched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand.  bentley key  must park their cars manually, not using sensors built-in to guide them into perpendicular and parallel spaces.

The event also saw Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting an exclusive example of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars come with an item key that shows an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
